Lego Mini Modular

Posted: March 29, 2011 in Lego

Great miniature versions of the modular set by Puddleglum, if you cant afford those expensive modular set (i.e Grand Emporium, Green Grocer and Fire Brigade) you could go for these. Very nice and detail. The Grand Emporium can even be seperated into different levels just like the original one.

Custom Repaint of Iron Monger

Posted: March 16, 2011 in Custom

The 2008 Iron man movie was a great show, pack with action and comedy. The visual effects are great too.

Was browsing through youtube in 2008 when i saw this video tutorial on how to custom repaint  action figures.

The steps looks easy, and since i have plenty of time  i brought a Iron Monger Figure ( One of the toys from the iron man movie toy line) to try it out.

After it is complete, i took several pictures and make it into a slideshow. It is posted on youtube. Do take a look.

Stop Motion

Posted: March 12, 2011 in Film Art

Stop motion (also known as stop action) is an animation technique to make a physically manipulated object appear to move on its own. The object is moved in small increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames is played as a continuous sequence. Clay figures are often used in stop motion for their ease of repositioning. (Source: )

I was fascinated by it when i saw Tim Burton’s  Corpse Bride, the movement of each characters was so smooth that it looks like it was a computer generated graphic . Theres alot of small stop motion project on youtube,  One of my favorite was by Patrick Boivin.  This is his most recent work, do check out his youtube channel

I manage to make one short clip in 2010  and posted it on youtube, do take a look.

Puzz 3D Millenium Falcon

Posted: March 7, 2011 in Puzz 3D

Puzz 3D produces 3D puzzle. The puzzle pieces when put together form a 3 dimensional object. Sad to say that the Puzz 3D puzzle are no longer in production. I manage to get one of this off ebay, the puzzle pieces is made up of two parts, a printed surface which is glued onto a foam base. Although i manage to get a MISB set, several of the printed surface have started to peel off.

The Box

You would have to join each individual pieces up into smaller potion first before building it in 3D

Jawas have repurposed them to round up stray droids, junked vehicles, and any unwanted scrap metal or minerals that can be used or sold. Each sandcrawler is home to an entire clan of Jawas, and serves as transport, workshop, traveling store and safe protection from desert predators or rampaging Sand People.
